Stage One is finished
The first stage of the research has now finished. This was the online survey. Thanks to everyone who took part. You gave your time to help improve the health of Deaf people in the UK. Thank you. Ipsos MORI is currently looking at the results. We hope to publish a report on the survey early in the New Year.
If you said you are happy for us to contact you about the research, then we may be in touch soon. You may get an e-mail or text message inviting you to a health assessment at a Bupa centre. A couple of people have already had the health assessment and said it was a very good thing to do.
What is it all about?
Finding out whether Deaf people experience poorer health than hearing people. Then, doing something about it.
Why bother?
If Deaf people are dying younger, and leading less healthy lives, then we should know. This research is important because we need the evidence. With the evidence we can start to make improvements. And, we are giving away hundreds of pounds of gift vouchers to some lucky people who take part. It could be you!
What happens to the data about me?
It’s all confidential. Check out the page for more details.
